Joanna Buczkowska

Board Member

Joanna  is the Managing Director at ISIS, Sauder School of Business. Her role as Managing Director is to oversee ISIS operations, finance, communication and human resources, as well as actively develop ISIS strategy, programs, and partnerships. She has an MBA in Marketing and Sustainability from Sauder School of Business, a multimedia degree from UBC and a BA in International Relations and Economics from the University of Arizona. Joanna is a Board Advisor for SAWA Global, an international development organization focusing on usage of online and video technologies to connect the world’s Heroes. She is also on the Leadership Team of the Professional Net Impact Chapter in Vancouver.

Joanna has 8 years experience in the field of communication and multimedia design and strategic business implementation of those tools, including running an identity design company for 5 years previous to her MBA. Currently her research at the Centre focuses on leveraging the use of communication and strategy in progressing the social agenda, usage of strategy and communication in the third sector, and social communication.
