An adaptation of the ancient tale of  beautiful Peresphone, seized and stolen away by the god of the underworld. causing her mother… Demeter… to vengefully  stop all growth of grain.

 

The Bread Project tells a gripping story that celebrates our long historical  partnership with grain and the fruits its harvest...the making and baking of bread!

 

A sweeping tale, told with a visual chorus of 21 diverse performers of all abilities, enormous puppets, music, song, and the aroma of  freshly baking bread on site.

All this…in the beautiful coastal setting of Crab Park.
